Europe Asia Patent and Patent Information Conference 2011 (EAP²IC)

The European Patent Office (EPO), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) will be organising the Europe Asia Patent and Patent Information Conference (EAP²IC) 2011 from
9 - 11 November 2011.

Running in its 9th year, EAP²IC 2011 serves as a platform where leading voices in the Intellectual Property (IP) industry come together to share insights as well as latest trends and developments on patents, patent information, and IP management.

The theme for EAP²IC 2011 is "Enhancing Technology Transfer between Europe and Asia Using Patents", with the keynote being "The Patent Wars ? Is It Stifling Innovation?" With increasing global awareness on the importance of IP rights and protection as well as the need for IP portfolio management, IP is fast being utilised as part of the overall business strategy which firms and IP practitioners have to be knowledgeable of in order to remain competitive on a global basis.

EAP²IC 2011 will dedicate a full day conference segment to discuss about the alignment of business strategies and IP, followed by 2 days of workshops on patent searching and landscaping.
